Getting to Know terri
Terri’s art journey began as a toddler painting on, behind and under furniture. In response to Terri’s young creative spirit, her mother entered her into her first art class in 1969. A passion for painting and experimenting which has continued through the years to present day with art classes and teachers from around the U.S. and Europe.

2005 was a big year for Terri, for it’s when, in reaction to what she considered ‘Divine Guidance’, Terri felt led to break out of her more traditional training and developed her signature style of textural and experimental art on canvas.

At about that same time in 2005, also in response to a call from Spirit, Terri’s path as an artist and that of a practitioner of vibrational healing met and Terri’s ‘EARTH ART’ was born. It was then that Terri began to include the use of crystals in her artwork. This marriage of canvas and crystal was very bold at the time, but Terri is now known as "the Crystal Artist" by national collectors who anxiously await the latest releases in her collections.

Although Terri collected crystals from an early age, her work with crystals and vibrational energy formally began in 1999, a 'gift' which grew out of following her intuition and guides rather than from formal training. However, Terri would later follow with many classes on energy work, such as Angelic Interaction, Crystal Healing, Frequency Medicine, Feng Shui, Sacred Geometry and Reiki, to name a few.

As a result of her unusual blend of artist, intuitive, chemist, mineralogist and healer, Terri is often referred to as an “Alchemist”. Each of Terri's creations are a synergistic mix of these different aspects of herself, her gifts and her passions.

F. Scott Fitzgerald
"Even the birds in my garden have been known to share a few of
their secrets with me!"

With the aid of Spirit, Terri has created more than eighty crystal and bird infused tinctures, which she uses to enhance the energy work in her art process. Terri makes the mother tinctures with flowers and herbs from her garden and wildflowers and trees from the surrounding Indiana countryside.

"The self is not something one finds, it's something one creates"

"I aspire to live a life where I 'DARE' rather than 'DARE NOT'.
I never want to be sorry for what I might have done or should have become."

"...the sun's rays shining through the clouds after the rain"

Terri, being a gifted writer as well as artist, channels some of her creativity into writing stories and messages, which are sure to surprise and delight you in your experience of her art and studio.

Terri allows Spirit to speak to her and guide her, which literally compels her to experiment and adventure with paint and chemicals. Because of this compulsion and prompting, Terri has spent countless days without food and nights without sleep over the last nineteen years while so lost in her passion and so driven to experiment and create that she was not aware of the passage of time. All who know Terri well, know that this process can go on for many days at a time!

This dedication to her calling is what contributes to Terri’s unique signature style of artwork. Each painting Terri creates is an adventure and a journey.
Through the complexity of layers and energy work, Terri's art radiates a unique vibrational frequency which affects the space surrounding it. Terri achieves this with the assistance of Spirit, Angels, Reiki, crystals, essential oils, homemade tinctures, symbols, sound, color, texture, minerals and metals which help to enhance and elevate the healing energy of her art.
Be sure to look for the, often hidden, ’happy accidents’ that occur organically and randomly in her artwork!

As a young girl, Terri promised herself that 'someday' she would find a way to turn her art into a living.
The way became clear in 1999 when Terri expanded her art training and started a faux and decorative wall business. The business was prosperous and allowed Terri to express her creative nature, but she still longed to pursue her art full time. This dream became a reality for Terri in 2005 when she listened to the promptings of Spirit and created her "Earth Art".
In 2010, Terri moved her art studio to the historic Stutz Business and Art Center where her SOULEIADO Studio and Gallery remains today.

"Courage doesn't mean that I don't get afraid, it just means that I don't let the fear stop me.
I use it as my lighthouse to show me the direction that I need to grow."

"At the end of my life, it's important to me to be able to say that I CHOSE
how I lived my life rather than SETTLED."
